How it started.

A small group of neighbors started pooling money to cover expenses for families in their community who had nowhere else to turn. Someone's father passed away, and the family couldn't afford burial costs. Someone lost a job, and rent was due. Someone's kids needed food.

The group called what they were doing "Move To Help" — because that's what it felt like. Watching a family struggling, and moving to help.

From local to global.

Then crises started arriving from further out. Earthquakes in South Asia. Storms displacing families. Civil wars uprooting entire communities. Famine declarations in regions the news barely covered.

The same group started sending aid further out. First to Pakistan, then Syria, Afghanistan, Gaza, and Sudan as needs emerged. The model didn't change — small group, direct partnerships, every dollar of public donations going to the families.

Where we work today.

Move To Help operates through verified local partner organizations in five active regions:

• Gaza — emergency food and medical aid via the Egyptian Food Bank through Cairo, plus partner networks operating in Khan Younis and Rafah.
• Sudan — famine response in Darfur and surrounding regions through verified local distribution partners.
• Syria — food and supply distribution in Idlib refugee camps via local partner organizations.
• Afghanistan — ration distribution networks operating across multiple districts.
• Pakistan — sponsored orphanage in Islamabad providing food, education, and care for sponsored children.

Working through trusted local partners is what makes the 72-hour deployment standard possible. Local teams know the families, know the terrain, and can deliver aid where international NGOs often cannot.

The 100% direct aid commitment.

Every dollar of public donations goes to the field. Administrative costs — staffing, technology, compliance — are funded separately by founders and dedicated grants.

This isn't marketing. It's how the organization is structured. The original founding group didn't take salaries to bury someone's father in 2019 — and that principle has stayed intact as the organization has scaled.

Move To Help Foundation operates without public-facing leadership profiles. We prioritize the safety of our volunteers, partners, and the families we serve in active conflict regions.
