These Donation Terms govern donations made to Move To Help Foundation ("MTHF") through donate.movetohelp.org. They apply in addition to our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Refund Policy. By making a donation, you agree to these Donation Terms.
Move To Help Foundation is a public charity organized and operated under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Our federal tax identification number (EIN) is 83-4130153. Donations to MTHF are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by US law.
For US federal income tax purposes, contributions to MTHF are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Donors should consult their own tax advisors regarding the specific tax treatment of their contributions.
For donations of $250 or more, the IRS requires a written acknowledgment from the receiving organization. PayPal automatically generates a donation receipt at the time of your donation. If you require a separate written acknowledgment for tax purposes, contact team@movetohelp.org.
No goods or services were provided in exchange for your donation. The full amount of your donation is tax-deductible (subject to applicable IRS limits).
MTHF commits that 100% of public donations are deployed to the field through verified local partner organizations. Administrative and operational costs (staffing, technology, compliance, fundraising) are funded separately by founders, board members, and dedicated grants. No portion of public donations is used for administrative overhead.
When you select a specific cause for your donation (e.g., "Gaza Emergency," "Sudan Famine Relief"), MTHF makes reasonable efforts to direct your funds to that cause. However, in accordance with industry-standard practice for emergency humanitarian funding:
Donors will not be notified individually of redirections, but MTHF will publish summary deployment information in field reports as available. If you have a strong preference that funds be used only for a specific cause without possible redirection, please contact us at team@movetohelp.org before donating.
Our standard is to deploy donated funds to verified field partners within seventy-two (72) hours of receipt. This is an operational standard, not a guaranteed timeline. Deployment may be affected by:

Information you provide when donating is governed by our Privacy Policy. We never sell, rent, or trade donor information.
If you set up a recurring monthly donation, you authorize MTHF (through PayPal) to charge your selected payment method on a monthly basis until you cancel the recurring donation. To cancel, see Section 4 of our Refund Policy.
You are responsible for ensuring your payment method remains valid. If a recurring donation fails (due to expired card, insufficient funds, etc.), PayPal will attempt to retry the charge per its policies. Repeated failures may result in cancellation of your recurring donation.
All donations are processed in US Dollars (USD). International donors may be charged a currency conversion fee by their bank or card issuer. MTHF does not control or receive these fees.
MTHF complies with all applicable US laws regarding anti-money laundering, terrorism financing, and economic sanctions. We may decline donations from prohibited persons or entities and may report suspicious activity to relevant authorities. By donating, you represent that you are not a person or entity prohibited from making donations under US law.
Unless you specifically request anonymity, MTHF may acknowledge your donation in aggregate impact reports, annual reports, or other communications. We will not publicly identify individual donors by name without consent.

MTHF may modify these Donation Terms at any time. The "Last Updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Donations made before a modification are governed by the terms in effect at the time of donation.
