Refund Policy

Move To Help Foundation ("MTHF") is a US 501(c)(3) public charity. Your donation is processed through PayPal and deployed to verified field partners within 72 hours of receipt. Once funds are deployed to the field, they cannot be recovered. This Refund Policy outlines the limited circumstances under which we may issue refunds.

1. Refund Eligibility

We may issue a refund only in the following circumstances:

a) Verified Unauthorized Use of Payment Method

If you discover an unauthorized donation made with a stolen card, compromised account, or without your consent, contact us within thirty (30) days of the donation at team@movetohelp.org with supporting documentation, including:

• A police report or fraud claim filed with your card issuer
• Confirmation of the dispute from your bank
• Your full name and contact information

After verification, we will refund the donation to the original payment method.

b) Duplicate Transaction

If you accidentally submit the same donation twice within 24 hours due to a technical issue, contact us within seven (7) days for a refund of the duplicate transaction. The original donation is not refundable under this provision.

c) Demonstrable Processing Error

If our system charges an amount different from what you confirmed at checkout, contact us within thirty (30) days for a correction.

2. Refunds Are Not Available For

• Donor remorse or change of mind after the donation is submitted
• Typos or errors in donation amount entered by the donor
• Selecting the wrong cause at checkout (we may, at our discretion, redirect funds to another active cause if not yet deployed — see Section 3)
• Donations older than thirty (30) days, except in cases of confirmed fraud where the donor was unaware of the charge
• Past months of recurring monthly donations (recurring donations may be cancelled going forward — see Section 4)
• Donations where funds have already been deployed to field partners
• Disputes over the speed or method of aid deployment by our field partners
• Dissatisfaction with our work, communications, or policies

3. Cause Redirection Option

If you donated to the wrong cause and the funds have not yet been deployed, you may request that the donation be redirected to another active MTHF campaign by emailing team@movetohelp.org within seven (7) days of donation. We will accommodate redirections at our discretion based on operational status.

4. Recurring Monthly Donations

To cancel a recurring monthly donation:

1. Log into your PayPal account
2. Go to Settings → Payments → Manage Automatic Payments
3. Select Move To Help Foundation
4. Click "Cancel"

You may also email team@movetohelp.org for assistance. Cancellation takes effect for future months only. Already-processed donations are not refundable except as outlined in Section 1.

5. How to Request a Refund

Email team@movetohelp.org with the subject line "Refund Request" within the applicable time window. Include:

• Your full name as it appears on the donation
• The donation date and approximate amount
• The transaction or order ID from your confirmation email or PayPal account
• The reason for your refund request
• Any supporting documentation (police report, bank dispute, etc.)

Refund requests are typically reviewed within five (5) business days. If approved, refunds are issued to the original payment method and may take 3–10 business days to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer.

6. Disputes and Chargebacks

Initiating a chargeback for a legitimate donation that does not meet the refund eligibility criteria in Section 1 may be considered a violation of our Terms of Service.

7. Tax-Deductibility of Refunded Donations

Refunded donations are not tax-deductible. If a refund is issued after you have filed taxes claiming the donation as a deduction, you should consult a tax professional regarding any required correction.

8. Right to Modify This Policy

MTHF reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Modified policies become effective when posted. Donations made before a modification are governed by the policy in effect at the time of donation.
